We took a canoe trip on Saturday with some friends through some canals and lakes leading to the ocean. It was out of this world. There was so much beauty that I clearly had a hard time narrowing down the pics. One of the highlights was running into some pirates looking for loot. They got our gummi bears. Rggggh!

jealous! i grew up kayaking in Vermont every summer, so i can only imagine...isn't traveling by water (sans a loud motor) just lovely?
