I've been doing this Dash of Yellow series or awhile now, though entirely irregularly, and I thought the time would inevitably come when I would tire of this miraculous color, but fortunately (if you think unfortunately, you're probably not a regular reader) the moment hasn't arrived and I'm still with yellow fever. It just completes every picture. Add a dash and the room/outfit no longer seems haphazard--it's complete and deliberate, but only if paired with the right colors. Note below:

Do I praise myself with this here pic below? I guess it looks like it, but I'm a blogger and this is what we do. This is my attempt to combine primary colors for our engagement photo session by the great Rachel Thurston and her amazing blue house in LA.
Yellow damask sofa. Beautiful on it's own but then combined with pink and now you're talkin.
Again, yellow sofa. Black bookcase with colorful books to balance. Right, perfection with the oxford blue.
Lastly, yellow and blue. Brilliant.

I loved the first picture. I was just saying yesterday that I hoped my hair would turn white when I was older. If it does I'd have it long like it is now and buy myself 25 dogs to keep me company. Just realised I would need to get myself a pair of specs like those as well.
