Clearly, I can't get enough of the sendable heart attacks. I sent a few heart attacks to people around town, but I needed to send one to my sister, Caitlin, so I tried a different version this year. Ideally there'd be enough hearts to swim in them. You know like Duck Tales how they swim in money?
Materials: box, scissors, hearts and lots of them. I even made some pop-up hearts for the sides.
These are great for loved ones living far away or even in town. Who doesn't love getting snail mail?Check out last year's sendable heart attack box here and a heart attack for the door here.

Cute :)
So when you actually mail it you would cover the whole box in brown paper right? Or will the mail take it with the hearts on the outside?
Going to do this for my nephews. They need a special V Day this year.
Great idea. I just don't have the patience to do all these things. But I do like to see the ideas people come up with.
i love the idea. who knew a heart attack good be good fun! and it photographs beautifully as well.
Lovely idea! Heart attack sounds nice
Just found your blog and love this idea! Very clever!!
Weird, I know Caitlin Watson...
cute valentines BTW :)
@Lauren...how do you know caitlin?
@sarah B, I was just planning on sending it sans brown paper, but I'm sure it'd be safer with. I don't think it should pose a problem for the mail.
This is perfect for deployed military love. I have sent boxes with stuff on the outside and never had a problem.... just don't put by address area and I'd tape over the hearts with clear packing tape.
Omgosh, this is brilliant! Love the "heart attack" concept!! Will have to try this on long distance loved ones:) Thanks for the inspiration! -A
