Recounting birthdays past 2012 with cupcakes

Happy Monday and in true blogger self-absorbed fashion, happy birthday to me! I'll be celebrating with my friend Becca, visiting from America, and Paul at the ballet tonight. Did you have an incredible weekend? We made mischief and did a lot of touring of CPH. I have fun stories to tell about it, but FIRST! Remember how I was counting down my 30th birthday with my 30 Crafts in 30 Days project? Well, I soon realized that that was the stupidest idea of all time so I quit. I didn't mention that I had quit and since no one said anything I thought I could get away with it. It's my blog and I'll quit if I want to. Ha! But really, I had so many projects anyway that I didn't need a gimmick to keep me going. Needless to say, I do have some crafts coming up so my self esteem is not super hurt.

As for this cupcake stand, I made this as my final DIY for Oh Happy Day. I had such a great time crafting away for Jordan this past year (see all my projects here), but I need to focus more on Lars and some new exciting projects coming up. For full instructions on this cupcake stand including a template  go here.

And to keep the tradition going...here's where we are in 2012

June 11, 2012: Roskilde, Denmark
June 11, 2011: Namje, Nepal

Photography by Amanda Thomsen (a huge thank you for your ideas and patience!) And thank you Paul for making the amazingly delightful rhubarb cupcakes. They were the best. Just don't leave them in the sun over the weekend. Not so great after that.

Absolutely love this cupcake stand idea and maybe I'll "steal" your places-birthday idea in September. It is good to go back and remember all these (sometimes not-so-special) days! As said before: hope you are having a wonderful day.
Yours, Thea
